Minor Eye Triage Service

Appointments are available to book by reception or patients can self refer on 01709 423597.

Physio First

Provide physio appointments for patients 16 years and over. They can be booked without speaking to a doctor first. These are used by our reception staff through Care Navigation.. These are initially a telephone triage appointment.

Social Prescribing Link Worker

This is a service that links people to their community to support health & Well-being. They can help patients access various local services and offer help and advice when needed, e.g. Benefits & debt, housing, befriending, employment support, mental health & support organisations & charities, and a whole lot more. Please enquire at reception.

Pharmacist

Clinical Pharmacists work as part of the surgery team in many different ways depending on the need of the practice. Clinical Pharmacists help GP's to perform annual structured medication reviews to make sure your medicines are safe and effective. This can involve helping patients with long term conditions, such as Asthma, Type 2 Diabetes or High Blood Pressure. The review involves making sure the medicines all work well together and ensuring the relevant health checks, such as blood tests are performed. You will have a consultation with a Clinical Pharmacist in the same way you would as your Doctor. If you see or speak to a Clinical Pharmacist , you can still see or speak to your GP if you need to. Other roles can include hospital medication changes, dealing with out of stock issues, supporting care home patients, updating protocols and ensuring prescribing guidelines are implemented.

Community Pharmacy

Offer a variety of services for the local community, these include BP checks, Over the Counter Labelling Scheme (this scheme is only in certain pharmacies, please ask for details). Self Care Over the Counter medications. To find your local ones please visit www.nhs.uk. 

Diabetic Dietician

See's patients newly diagnosed with type 2DM, high insulin users, poor control of insulin. This service can be booked through Reception.

Sexual Health Clinic

Self referral for any contraceptive advice, Vasectomy, Telephone 01709 427777
